The important event TRIBUTE TO CHAVELA VARGAS presented by GROWING TOGETHER on September 28th 2018 at the elegant Copernicus Center, there was a big success due unconditional commitment of sponsors and friends of GT.
Nelson Sosa, Yuri Hevia, Guillermo Paolisso, Isabel Fernandez and Paola Sosa are the main talents contributing on this type of live musical events. Special Mention to the Producers Jorge Rodriguez, Guillermo Torres and the announcer Juan Silverio Diaz
A monologue written by Luisa Maria Arredondo had being presented at Consulado de Mexico, Mexican Art Museum, and Morton College at Cicero. Luisa Maria, Isabel Fernandez and Guillermo Paolisso took the responsibility to project this strong message. In the picture General Consul of Mexico was an important sponsor to make this show possible.
This artist, singer and writer was an important part of the testimonies presented during the Shows to protect woman against violence. She is author of the main song which is part of the Monologue.
The presence of Dr Perez Duarte during the CHICAGO PAYS TRIBUTO TO CHAVELA VARGAS at Copernicus Center gave this event an incredible importance due Mrs Duarte work extensively with the theme protection against woman in Mexico, but also she was the last sentimental connection with Chavela Vargas before she dies.
Students will have the opportunity to learn more about music, instruments, rhythms, cultures of Latin American Countries. Also interactive shows that give the opportunity to learn the basic steps of Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Polka, Cumbia and more.
That presentation was done at EL BALCON DE LA HUMITA, Ecuatorian Restaurant. Live music for all type of events are available at Growing Together using de concept PROYECTO SUR (Southern Project) who can tailor your event with duet, trio, Latin Jazz type and full band for dancing. International music in 5 different languages are also available.
